Peel Hunt has hired a former Jefferies dealmaker as a managing director in its consumer unit, as the broker looks to rebuild its team after a series of departures.

James Thomlinson has joined as a managing director within Peel Hunt’s consumer dealmaking team, it said in a statement. He was latterly part of Jefferies’ UK dealmaking team, which moved across in 2018 from HSBC.
