Pension Superfund recruits trustee chair

Richard Wohanka, the former CEO of Fortis Investments, joins in pensioner-protection role

The former chief executive of Fortis Investments, Richard Wohanka, has joined the Pension Superfund, the UK retirement-scheme consolidator. He led the Belgian firm for eight years until its crisis-era sale to BNP Paribas, the French bank.

Wohanka will chair the new organisation’s board of trustees, which operates independently from its management company. The board will vet the schemes it takes on, with a brief to make sure pension fund members do not suffer financially from bad deals.
