One of the backers of star dealmaker Joe Perella's advisory boutique has hired two senior figures from an investor in a rival boutique set up by ex-Lazard rainmaker Gerardo Braggiotti.

Istithmar, the Dubai-based investment firm that put $100m (€78.3m) into ex-Morgan Stanley banker Perella's boutique, Perella Weinberg Partners, has hired Felix Herlihy and John Amato as managing directors and co-chief investment officers.
