Permira looks set to win Telepizza, a Spanish delivery company, after increasing its bid by nearly 50% to over €850m ($1bn), according to sources close to the deal.

Permira, which is backing Telepizza chairman Pedro Ballve, has taken a substantial lead over two rival bidding groups by submitting a higher final offer than its two rivals. It was the last chance for the three parties to submit improved bids.
