Permira sells €1bn stake in TeamViewer as remote working pushes up demand

Billings were up 75% to a record level of €119.7m in Q1 2020

Permira has sold a stake worth more than €1bn in German remote software company TeamViewer.

The private equity group said it placed 25 million shares worth €41 per share with institutional investors in an accelerated bookbuilding process. Permira continues to hold 39% of TeamViewer’s shares and has agreed to a 90 day lock-up period during which it will not sell any more.
