Pimco, the California-based specialist fixed-income manager, has hired Joachim Suter as head of institutional business development for Switzerland.

Suter was previously director of client relationship management and business development at UBS Global Asset Management, with responsibility for institutional clients in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Africa.
