Pimco, the US bond giant, has hired former BlackRock portfolio manager Rupert Harrison as a senior adviser for the UK.

Harrison, who left BlackRock last year after a nine-year stint, will assist Pimco with client initiatives across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
