Pine Brook, a New York-based private equity firm, has recruited Richard Aube as a managing director. He will be responsible for managing Pine Brook's energy investing activities. He joins from DE Shaw, a multi-strategy global investment firm, where he was a managing director with responsibility for co-managing the firm's North American private equity business.
