Platinum Capital Management, the UK hedge fund firm, has appointed Eric Munson as president of its new US subsidary.

Munson is the founder of two hedge funds; Elmwood Capital and Ananda Capital Management, and was formerly managing director of Wentworth, Hauser & Violich, a registered investment advisor.
