Child's play at Euronext

Euronext was trying desperately to cheer itself up last week ahead of the imminent interim ruling by the UK Competition Commission on its proposed bid for the London Stock Exchange.

Euronext has convinced itself – or is perhaps just trying to convince LSE shareholders – that the commission will impose onerous conditions on any bid, and that has prompted a bout of depression among senior management staff.
