Plus Markets, the UK exchange that last month broke off tie-up talks with nascent bank-backed trading system Project Turquoise, today launched its new trading and market surveillance platform using technology from Nordic group OMX.

Plus, which agreed the contract with OMX at the end of April, said in a statement today it has launched the new trading platform, which extends the range of tradable securities from small-cap and mid-cap companies to all London-listed shares.
