Home secretary Priti Patel has said the police are now moving to enforce Covid rules more stringently with the country facing a resurgent second wave of coronavirus.

Patel delivered a tough message, speaking on 12 January alongside Martin Hewitt, chair of the National Police Chiefs' Council, at the government’s coronavirus press conference.
