Pomona Capital, a global private equity firm, has closed its latest fund dedicated to secondary private equity investments at $582m (€582m) as interest in the secondaries market continues to gather pace.
Pomona Capital said the fund, which had an original target of $400m, had attracted more interest than its previous four. US investors supplied most of the capital, but European investors put up 40% of the total. This is a higher proportion than in the fourth fund, where Europeans contributed only 30%.
