PPF to invest in private equity for first time

The Pension Protection Fund, expected to become one of the biggest investors in the UK, has overhauled its investment strategy by targeting private equity and infrastructure for the first time.

The PPF, which manages £4bn (€4.4bn) of assets, hopes to make its first investments in private equity and infrastructure and reduce its allocations to listed equities in the short to medium-term, according to a statement.
