PPM Ventures, the private equity arm of Prudential, has funded the £37.25m (€59m) acquisition of 50 pubs from Wolverhampton & Dudley Breweries.its pub portfolio company's

The buy will add to the 80 pubs already owned by Barracuda Group, PPM Ventures' pub portfolio company, which launched in July 2000. Barracuda's first deal was the £50m purchase of 35 pubs from Enterprise Inns by a management team backed by PPM Ventures. Shortly afterwards, PPM Ventures bought The Ambishus Pub Company, in a £36m public to private deal.
