Prebon Yamane, the London-based inter-dealer broker has partnered with Jo Santomo, the former head of GFI Group's credit derivative desk, to set up a separate credit derivatives broking company.

The move comes despite continuing legal disputes between Prebon, Santomo, and his previous employer, GFI, and just a month before the planned completion of Prebon's proposed takeover by rival Collins Stewart Tullett.
