Prebon Yamane, the money broker, is to sue 51 former Singapore staff members for damages and seek an injunction preventing them from joining rival BGC Partners.

The broker's decision to sue its former employees directly follows a Singapore Court's determination on Tuesday that no court orders or injunctions could be placed against BGC directly, and comes "as BGC suggested", according to a statement issued by Prebon.
