Keith Harris, chairman of UK investment bank Seymour Pierce and a former long-standing adviser to Manchester United, is emerging as a preferred bidder for the football club.

Cubic Expression, which holds 29.8% of Manchester United, is understood to prefer a bid from Keith Harris to an offer from Malcolm Glazer, the US entrepreneur, whose approach to the club ignited takeover speculation, earlier this week.
