The value of private equity deals in Asia have halved this year as the impact of a trade war between China and the US has led to an uncertain investing landscape.

Year-to-date, there have been a total of 99 deals in Asia-Pacific worth $22bn, down from 116 deals worth $44bn for the same period in 20018, according to Dealogic.
