Private equity firms share €353m in Shinsei sale

Among the 'most profitable private equity deals of all time'

Almost 100 private equity investors are to share profits of more than €353m ($416m), made in less than a year from the Japanese Shinsei Bank, which was floated last February.

Ripplewood Holdings, the US private equity firm, PaineWebber Capital, KB Japan and 92 other firms are selling 463 million shares, or a 34% stake valued at Â¥290bn (€2.2bn)
