A former senior executive at private equity firm 3i Group, who authored a 2009 government review into small business finance, has joined the board of USS Investment Management, the investment arm of the UK's biggest pension fund.
Christopher Rowlands joined the company's board on March 3, according to filings this week at the UK's Companies House register. The company is the investment subsidiary of the Universities Superannuation Scheme, and directly responsible for managing its £40 billion portfolio.
