Ethical concerns a low priority for buyout investors

Findings from PwC come despite governance issues moving up the industry agenda this year

Investors in private equity funds have little interest in responsible investing, despite industry efforts to raise awareness, according to a new survey.

Two-thirds, or 64%, of private equity houses that took part in a survey conducted by consultancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers said that only a minority of their investors were currently interested in responsible investing. Meanwhile 7.8% of respondents said that investors have no interest at all in responsible investing.
