The companies behind what will soon be the City of London’s tallest building are traditional, old-school developers. But with co-working space upstarts disrupting their industry, they are taking a different approach in the hope that their tower will bolster their position in the capital’s property market.

“Life is changing, but office buildings haven’t been,” said Sir Stuart Lipton, the 75-year-old co-founder of property developer Lipton Rogers, in an interview at the under-construction 22 Bishopsgate.
