A panel discussion at one of the best-known conferences in the traditionally male-dominated property industry has encouraged bosses to talk about what its organisers call the workplace’s “last taboo”: the menopause.
Moderating the session at Mipim UK, Samantha McClary, deputy editor of property magazine Estates Gazette, which organised the panel, cited statistics suggesting that one in 10 women leave the workforce due to the severity of their symptoms during the menopause, during which their periods end.
