ProVen Private Equity, the UK arm of US private equity firm Beringea, has recruited Stuart Veale, a director from LDC, previously Lloyds TSB Development Capital, as part of its expansion in UK investments.

Veale will be one of four directors, including Jeff Bocan, who was recruited in July from Saffron Hill Ventures, a UK-based early-stage venture fund. ProVen, a specialist media investor, is re-branding after it was acquired earlier this year by Beringea, previously GMA Capital Management.
