Putnam faces growing losses outside the US

Putnam Investments, the Boston-based fund manager hit by the mutual fund trading scandal in the US, is facing growing outflows of funds from clients outside its home market.

Russell Investment Group, which runs $85bn (€71bn) in assets, has dropped Putnam from some of its multi-manager equity portfolios available only to European investors. Russell creates portfolios by blending together different fund managers.
