PwC to lose up to 20% of its partners

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) could see as much as 20% of its partners leave the UK accountancy during the course of 2001.

The firm has announced so far that just under 10% of its 1,100 partners will be asked to leave because of overstaffing in certain areas. This follows more than two years after the merger of Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand.
