Quoted firms see share price rises

Profits and prospects have encouraged investors

Europe's publicly listed private equity firms are feeling optimistic after Germany's Deutsche Beteiligungs made a €51m ($65m) rights issue last week.

Europe has few private equity firms with a public listing. Partners Group, the Swiss private equity to hedge funds manager, reckons there are 35, including significant direct investors such as 3i and Candover of the UK, CapMan of Finland and Belgium's GIMV.
