Peter Murray, the chief executive of Railpen Investments and a former chairman of the National Association of Pension Funds, has spoken out in favour of crossing, the securities trading technique.
Murray, writing in the first of a series of pamphlets published by E-Crossnet, the investors' crossing network, said: "We expect the investment managers we appoint to exploit crossing to the full and will question them closely if they do not."
