Nick Fitzpatrick, head of global investment consulting at Hewitt Associates, is retiring from the firm and will be replaced by Nicola Ralston, former head of global investment at Schroders.

Fitzpatrick, who until 1986 managed the equity and bond portfolios at Railpen, the railway pensions scheme, said he would continue to work part-time, however, and seek advisory work in the fund management industry.
