Gerard Rameix, chairman of France's Autorité des Marchés Financiers, has been elected to the European Securities and Markets Authority's board of supervisors. Rameix replaces Kurt Pribil of Austria's Finanzmarktaufsicht, who left the regulator. His term will last until October 2014. The board is chaired by ESMA's chairman Steven Maijoor and includes the heads of a number of European regulators.
