Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has hired a head of capital markets sales for Iberia and another professional for the team.

Ignacio Alvarez-Carlon, who joins as head of capital markets sales in region, was previously at Merrill Lynch. There he was head of debt capital markets sales to Spanish and Portuguese institutional investors, based in Madrid. Before that, he was a partner at FG, which was the largest independent Iberian brokerage firm at the time.
