RBS plan said to put 10,000 jobs at risk

The UK's Royal Bank of Scotland could shed up to 10,000 bankers as part of its plan to retreat from investment banking, the Financial Times reported. Citing unnamed sources, the report says the job cuts and an expected £1bn to £2bn in restructuring costs are the worst-case scenario in plans being considered by Stephen Hester, RBS's chief executive.
