RBS settles with some shareholders over 2008 rights issue

Royal Bank of Scotland Group has reached a settlement with a group of shareholders over its emergency rights issue amid the financial crisis.

The bank, which had previously set aside £800 million to settle claims, said on Thursday, April 27 that it has reached a settlement with shareholders representing 40% by value of the remaining claimants. The bank didn't admit any liability.
