Record-breaking Smurfit bond wins demand in tricky market

The €905m ($887m) equivalent bond, which was split into 10-year tranches denominated in euros and dollars, will partly refinance Smurfit's €3.7bn takeover by Madison Dearborn Partners, the US private equity firm.
