Recovery from Covid-19 must be green, cross-party MPs and advisers say

The report, written by a cross-party commission, said that this is the moment to rebuild and decarbonise the economy

The UK government must ditch it's focus on short-term profit maximisation and swiftly move to a sustainable business model with a focus on the green economy, a cross-party group of MPs and senior business and environmental advisers say.

The call, in a 27 May report, urges the government to invest in the green economy.  The aim would be to unlock new highly skilled and well-paid jobs in dynamic businesses and improve
people’s health and wellbeing.
