Redington slashes gender pay gap, CEO urges City to follow

The chief executive of pensions investment consultancy Redington has urged the City's larger firms to “stop talking” about closing gender pay gaps and “take ownership” of making it happen.

His comments came after Redington, founded 12 years ago by a pair of investment bankers, revealed it had closed its gender pay gap from 21.6% to 0.2% in 12 months — without cutting salaries for male staff.
