Renaissance Capital has promoted Roland Nash to global strategist as part of a shake-up aimed at extending the firm's reach beyond its traditional markets of Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States.

Nash is one of the best known and most widely followed analysts of the Russian market. His research team has been voted number one in Russia in Institutional Investor's survey every year since 2003. It has also dominated Institutional Investor's rankings for emerging Europe, the Middle East and Africa, taking top spot for the last three years. Nash will also oversee macro and strategy research globally.
