Reuters launches online push into China

Reuters, the UK-based information firm, has appointed one of its senior marketing executives in Asia to start a push into the Chinese retail market as financial companies flock to service the world's most populated nation.

The company has appointed Glenn Asano to the new role of head of consumer media for China based in Beijing. Previously, Asano spent four years as head of media for Asia, responsible for sales and services. He was based in Singapore.
