Reuters may put Instinet on screens

Reuters is considering making access to Instinet, its troubled broking subsidiary, available on every Reuters terminal worldwide, according to sources close to the company.

They said Reuters must integrate Instinet fully into the business if Instinet is to compete as a serious player trading in US equities, its core business where it has lost market share to rivals. In the first quarter, Instinet made its first loss since going public last year.
