Lawyers from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Latham & Watkins and Linklaters have topped the rankings for M&A and finance work in Europe, the Middle East and Africa in 2023.

Law firms, like banks and other advisers, were hit last year by a slowdown in M&A transactions thanks to higher interest rates and worries about inflation.
