The UK government's response to Brexit over the last 12 months has been shambolic and policymakers would be better off thinking about how to reverse the country's decision to leave the European Union than attempting to negotiate a favourable deal.
That is according to a snap poll of more than 100 Financial News readers conducted last week on the one year anniversary of the referendum on EU membership. The poll also coincided with the start of official exit negotiations between UK and EU policymakers in Brussels.
