Regulatory News Service (RNS), the London Stock Exchange's company news service, has launched a webcasting facility that will enable companies to communicate simultaneously with analysts, the press institutional and private investors via the internet.

The launch comes as UK-based research company Knowledge Technology Solutions' quarterly survey of the primary information provider market shows that since the market was opened up to competition in April, RNS has maintained a near monopoly.
