John Rosier, a former senior fund manager at Fleming Investment Management and Henderson, has joined the boutique investment bank Blue Oar to launch a new asset management arm.

Blue Oar Asset Management will initially run a single fund, expected to be a UK mid-cap product based on an in-house specialist index. The bank has also set up a joint venture with an Australian fund management group to market the fund in that country.
