Rothschild has strengthened its relationship with E.On, the German utility, advising on the €1.1bn ($1.15bn) sale of its stake in Bouygues Telecom of France.

The adviser has worked with E.On on several occasions over the past few years. It has been involved in most of E.On's deals in recent months, either advising the German utility or the other side, according to data from Dealogic, the data provider. In the latest deal E.On is set to sell its 15.9% stake in Bouygues Telecom to Bouygues. Bouygues did not use any external advisers.
