Rothschild has hired Gilles Costerousse as managing director and head of Rothschild FIG capital markets advisory from Nomura, filling a new position at the London firm as it tries to win more FIG debt and equity new issue mandates. He is expected to make other hires to build his team.
Costerousse joins from Nomura and Lehman Brothers, where he worked for 12 years with responsibility for European FIG finance products. He is one of several high profile former Lehman bankers to leave the Japanese bank following the expiration of guaranteed bonuses, after Nomura acquired the European arm of Lehman Brothers in 2008.
