Rothschild has won the race to hire Anthony Salz, the former Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer joint senior partner and one of the most high-profile lawyers in the City of London.

Rothschild said Salz, who was also being wooed by JP Morgan Cazenove following his departure from Freshfields after 30 years in March, will join the Rothschild Group in London as executive vice chairman.
