RREEF, the independent property fund manager, has lost a £1.5bn mandate it ran for Scottish Amicable Insurance Fund (SAIF) to Prudential's own in-house property team.

The decision follows a review process prompted by RREEF itself, despite the fact that the contract with Scottish Amicable still had two years to run.
