Rupf Bee takes the reins at Renaissance

HSBC's institutional sales leader moves into a new role as chief executive of the emerging markets manager

Barbara Rupf Bee, the global head of institutional sales at HSBC Global Asset Management, has left to take over as chief executive at Renaissance Asset Managers, an emerging-markets specialist fund manager owned by the boutique Russian bank Renaissance Capital.

Rupf Bee, who had led the sales effort at HSBC since 2007, takes over leadership responsibilities from Peter McNulty, the chief financial officer at Renaissance Capital, who had been acting as interim chief executive of the funds arm since September.
