Russell Investments has hired BlackRock's Joe Linhares to oversee its business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, replacing Pascal Duval who left the $266 billion fund manager at the end of last year.

Linhares, who most recently was a member of BlackRock’s operating committee and retail global executive committee, will be based in London and will be responsible for bolstering the firm’s multi-asset capabilities.
